Sportsbook First Impression
When arriving at the home page, something seems amiss. It must be the lack of banners, advertisements, flashing logos, scantily clad women...and the list goes on. The home page of is mostly dedicated to informing the potential customer about and describing their vow of customer service to their clients. Hmm? Interesting.
Wagering
has a variety of betting options, including straight wagers, teasers, parlays, propositions and more. They have a printable betting lines page that makes handicapping that much easier. However, if you are looking for handicapping tools, you will have to look elsewhere. does have a newsletter that you can sign up to receive that will keep you up to date on any specials or happenings.
Once logged into the sportsbook, all of the sports available for betting are listed to the left of the page and those links take you to the betting lines for the available events to be wagered. You then click on the betting lines that interest you and a new box appears on the page to the right of the betting lines. At that point, you choose the type of wager, along with the amount of money you are interested in betting and you are then on your way to fame and fortune (or not).
Online Sportbook Research
I was curious to see what others were saying about , since was touting their customer service and online sportsbook so highly. One site I visited gave a rating of C. This rating was based on the security of money deposited. A "C" rating signifies a "Good, minimal risk to players funds. Above average" rating on deposit security.
However, on another site, was on the Blacklist! Aha! Now we know why the entire home page is dedicated to a company overview and a vow of customer service.
In order to get on the blacklist of the sportbook review site that I researched, the offending sportsbook had to meet at least three of the following criteria:
- not licensed to operate an online casino,
- have had payout problems,
- have had company problems,
- are hosted in the U.S. (which is illegal),
- do not provide adequate customer support or
- are not active members of the Interactive Gaming Council.

Promotions and Contests
The registration and deposit process is very quick. offers a healthy initial sign up bonus of 20% (25% if depositing money by NETeller) and a referral bonus of 10% to your account on the initial deposit of the person that you refer. also has a 5% reload bonus on all deposits made on Thursdays. There was no mention of any past contests or ongoing contests.
Sportsbook Customer Service
has online live chat capabilities, along with a customer service 800-number and email. prides themselves on their customer service. Their formula for customer satisfaction is "Ask our customers what is important to them, then do it."
actually guarantees their customer satisfaction. If a customer is unhappy with for any reason, will set that customer up with another sportsbook and pay the transfer fees. Now that's what I call customer service!
Bottomline
The ease of navigation of , coupled with the ability to find information quickly gives an edge. Besides being blacklisted on another review site, the only possible downside to would be their wager limits. They have a $500 betting limit on combination and proposition bets and a betting limit of $1,000 dollars on straight wagers. This can pose a problem for handicappers who bet larger wagers, especially for those handicappers that love to "double up" in order to "catch up." |
